Jason Ah Sam

Jason is a construction industry professional with 40 years’ experience across head contractor and client-side roles with the last 20 years in senior project, bid team and business unit leadership roles. Jason has led the bid, conversion and Early Contractor Involvement phases of some of Victoria’s largest and most technical projects including CSL’s $800m Flu Vaccine Manufacturing facility at Tullamarine, CSIRO’s $450m Australian Centre for Disease Preparedness project in Geelong and Amazon’s $500m Automated Robotic Distribution Centre in Craigieburn. Jason holds a Master of Construction Management, Bachelor of Engineering and is a Graduate of London Business School.

Angelique Notaras

Angelique is the General Counsel for national construction contractor Roberts Co. With over close to 20 years’ experience in tier one contracting holding various leadership roles, Angelique is a highly regarded construction and infrastructure lawyer with extensive legal and commercial experience across major projects and corporate matters. Angelique is passionate about applying the law in innovative ways to explore opportunities for the construction industry to collaborate and build a better way.

Sefton Warner

Sefton Warner is a highly regarded construction and infrastructure lawyer with extensive experience in advising on a wide range of construction and project delivery matters. He has successfully works on prominent projects for property developers, contractors and financiers across various industries, both within the private and public sectors, as well as renewable energy projects throughout Australia. His expertise spans major projects across the country, and regularly advises project teams on the successful delivery of infrastructure.

Sefton joined Maddocks in 2018 and is a Partner in the Construction and Projects team in Melbourne.

Paul Woods

Paul Woods acts for major Australian and multi-national principals and contractors in building, engineering and infrastructure projects. His experience includes the preparation and negotiation of project documents for industrial, commercial, residential and Government infrastructure. He also has extensive experience assisting clients to resolve complex building and engineering disputes.

Paul has worked on projects ranging from ports and airports, tertiary and secondary education buildings, roads, bridges, pipelines, high density residential buildings and renewable energy projects. He is also familiar with all forms dispute resolution in the infrastructure sector including litigation, arbitration, expert determination, statutory adjudication and mediation. Paul is a Partner in the Maddocks Construction and Projects team in Melbourne.
